Successful Head Teacher Recruitment - Mrs Nairne

Further to our email to parents/carers on 3
rd April regarding the recruitment process for a Head Teacher at Handsworth, the Governors are thrilled to inform you that we had a very successful day of interviews and, subject to the appropriate checks, Mrs Claire Nairne will be commencing as Head Teacher on 1
st September 2019.
Mrs Nairne is currently Deputy Head Teacher at St Antony's Catholic Primary School in Woodford Green, where she has worked for 18 years. Mrs Nairne is a passionate, energetic leader with a clear vision and a desire for Handsworth Primary School to build upon its many successes and continue to improve.
Mrs Nairne will be meeting with staff on Monday 3
rd June and will be visiting school throughout the summer term so that she is able to, where possible, meet with parents/carers and pupils before she formally commences employment on 1
st September. Many of the pupils at Handsworth met Mrs Nairne during the day of interviews and a number formed a pupil panel who interviewed her and gave valuable feedback to the Governors.
I am sure you will join the Governors in providing a warm welcome to Mrs Nairne.
