Switch off fortnight in 4EL

30 Nov 2013

During 'Switch off fortnight' Ajay became our 'Energy monitor' doing an incredible job, reminding us to turn off lights, shut the door to save heat, switch off the computer when it wasn't needed etc.We feel we have a good chance at winning the saving energy points competition that Eco Council launched!  We will continue to have energy monitors during the year.

Playing energy saving games on an eco friendly website called'The Pod'. Children can play these at home too. If you want to login both login and password is africa 41. We also wrote on the blog, linking with other schools taking part in'Switch off fortnight'.

We made special signs to hang on light switches to remind them to switch them off when they aren't needed. We only use one light in the classroom now!
