Chembakolli Day

06 Feb 2012

Chembakolli Day
with

Last Friday the whole of year 4 met actionaid and we learnt lots of new things about Chembakolli.  Chembakolli is named after the Chemba tree and the Adavasi people live in Chembakolli. The weirdest thing that I have learnt is that people wiped their bottom with their left hand and they eat with their right hand. If an elephant was in your way when you were going to school it would be called “elephant day”. (Omar)

Chembakolli day was really fun because we got to look at different artefacts. I learnt that they use phones, laptops and also computers.  (Anna)

Chembakolli Day was really fun because we looked at some differerent cultures and how they live. It is very hard for them because of some dangers. The houses are made of things like straw, animal poo and mud. The people used their right hand to eat. We got to look at lots of things and we got to play lots of games. (Jessica)

I loved Chembakolli day because we learnt a lot about the village and met action aid and had A BLAST. We learnt about where people get there food from - the rain forest. People had to work really hard to get money but only got 60 or 80p. (Joe)
