Great Fire of London - Homework project for this week.
05 Jun 2013
Welcome Back!!
I hope you've all had a wonderful break and are enjoying this wonderful sunshine. Over the holidays I have been looking at the 'Purple Mash' work that you have been doing at home. I knew I had clever, talented and creative children in my class, but the work you have produced is even better than I could have imagined! I was extremely impressed with the walk to school posters, which were eye-catching and had some very powerful slogans. They definitely made me think that I should walk to school! The medicine recipes were amazing! I had so much fun reading them. I particularly liked the 'wacky' side-effects you thought of.
Well done Year 2! I am extremely proud of you all!
In History this term we are learning about 'The Great Fire of London'.
On 'Purple Mash' there is a fantastic audio-story of 'The Great Fire of London'. Take a look at this video and see if you can learn any new facts about the fire. If you do find out anything new, log onto the school website, and write your new fact in the 'comment' box below.
I can't wait to hear what you've learnt!
There are also other 'Fire of London' based activities on 'Purple Mash'. Feel free to explore any one of these activities and save it in:
