larva - caterpillar - butterfly

We had an exciting new arrival to the class on Thursday 27th February - caterpillars! Thank you very much to Rose and her family for bringing them in!

We all watched and waited eagerly whilst the food was distributed into the smaller containers and each caterpillar was put in it's new home.  

We have one each, what do you think we should name them?





 
In went the food...



and out came the caterpillars... 
The caterpillars are happy in their new homes...

some are also starting to make their chrysalis'

All but four of our caterpillars are now tucked away in their chrysalis so we have hung them in their butterfly tent
