The release of the butterflies!

31 Mar 2014

We were starting to get a bit worried about the chrysalis in the classroom - we heard the brother and sister butterflies in Miss Lloyds class had already appeared but we had not had the same luck.
UNTIL THIS MORNING...
We came into class today and found our butterfly net full of butterflies ...

we took it in turns to have a closer look at the butterflies...

and we decided it was best to release them as they did not have much space to fly.

we also had a closer look at the empty chrysalis shells

some of the butterflies were feeling really brave and came to say hello to us before flying away

 can you see the butterfly?

We would all like to say a really big THANK YOU to Rose's Mum for getting the butterfly hatching kit for us!  We have really enjoyed watching them change from larva to butterflies.
