English - Experiencing and describing the moon

02 Mar 2015

In English we are studying the book 'Man on the Moon'.

We put some of our PE equipment around the class room to experience what it could be like on the moon. We were hiding in the craters and jumping over moon rocks. We felt the wobbly stones under our feet. We touched the different textures of the smaller bumpy stones. We couldn't run on the moon because there is no gravity so we had to do some 'slow motion jump leaps'. It was so funny.

You will also see that some of us were hiding under the tables and chairs. (We are pretending to be aliens). Bob does not know about the aliens on the moon.

In our groups we created our own moon landscapes. We had to think about all the massive craters, heavy moon rocks, bumpy areas etc.

After that we had to put our describing words onto our moon landscapes.

Did you find our describing words on our moon landscapes?
